The client is a new airline looking to create a fast and simple online experience for their target users. I designed it to be super intuitive, so anyone visiting the site can book a flight in no time.
I made every effort to create an exceptional user experience for airfare search service. To achieve this, I meticulously planned and executed each phase of the design process with precision. Each step was crucial to developing and refining the final product, ensuring that our users' needs and expectations I met.
• online survey
The market research was conducted in January 2022. During this period, users did not use the services of airlines often due to the coronavirus. Despite that situation, 50% of users booked flights. The market research was conducted in January 2022. During this period, users did not use the services of airlines often due to the coronavirus. Despite that situation, 50% of users booked flights.
What was the last action the respondent performed?
One of the main questions was what actions users performed when they opened the airline's website. Based on the data obtained from the online survey, I concluded that users most often check in for a flight or looked at the price of air tickets.
Therefore, it was very important to consider the whole way of searching for air tickets so that it would be easy for the user to do this.
What device does the respondent use most?
To develop a website design prototype, it was essential to ascertain which device users typically utilize when performing various actions on the website. The findings of the online survey indicated that the majority of users employed a computer or laptop, necessitating the creation of a desktop version tailored to their needs.

What factors do respondents consider to be most important when making a booking?
The results of the online survey indicate that users are primarily concerned with the price of tickets. Therefore, it is crucial to consistently emphasize the cost to ensure a clear understanding of the financial aspects of the booking process. It is essential that users are able to view the cost of their booking at all times. This will ensure that they are aware of the total price and do not have any further questions.
Additionally, flight time was identified as a key consideration for users. It was therefore essential that the user could easily find it when sorting. All four criteria indicated in the diagram were deemed important for the user, and thus were included in the filtering and sorting processes.

• case study
I conducted extensive user research as part of a large-scale and exciting project to design an airline ticket search website. My goal was to gain a deep understanding of user needs, preferences, and behaviors. This multifaceted approach to research included a wide range of methods, each of which provided invaluable insights into the user experience.
To gain a comprehensive insight, I undertook a thorough research programme comprising online surveys, interviews and behavioural analysis on existing platforms. Based on the data collected, I developed personas, CJMs and similarity charts.
Furthermore, I created flow charts to optimise user scenarios and improve navigation. This approach enabled me to understand and anticipate user behaviour, providing a solid foundation for developing an innovative and user-friendly design for the airfare search website.
01
Research and analysis
During the user research process, I conducted a comprehensive study of the needs, wants, goals, motivations, and behaviors of users with absolute confidence. This valuable information provided a comprehensive understanding of how users navigate the website.
02
Wireframing and prototyping
The objective of the prototyping phase was to assess the viability of the original prototype. This allowed me to confirm that the solution was convenient and accessible. Furthermore, it ensured that users would be able to interact with the system in the manner originally intended.
03
UI Design
At this pivotal stage, I conducted comprehensive user experience testing with a diverse target audience to assess the efficacy of the proposed design solutions. This user-centric approach enabled me to identify potential issues before development, thereby optimizing resources and preventing user frustration.
• conclusion
I devoted a significant amount of time to thorough user research and competitor analysis in designing his project. I researched the target audience's needs and existing solutions. My background in user experience and market research helped me identify the best features and functions for the product.
